The following is a sponsored product review:

Internet Marketing MonitorIMM stands for Internet Marketing Monitor, which is the parent blog site of all things related to Internet Marketing, which dates back to November 2006 – newer than Because I Was Bored. One of their products, the IMM-Keyword WordPress Plugin, is a plugin which makes injecting keywords into your META tags as easy as 1-2-3.

I tried this product myself and it’s very straightforward in its directions, and if you’ve tried any other Wordpress plug-in out there, it won’t get any easier than this. There is no need to re-upload files through FTP to your server. You basically download the plug-in, activate it through the admin area, then save your keywords inside the admin area. The keywords aren’t page specific, which would really help in SEO, but for simplicity’s sake and for the plug-in, it only saves the keywords for your general website. Hey, better than nothing.

I honestly think that it takes more than just your keywords to increase your SEO for your website. It takes real content which matches your keywords. I don’t even know if the more sophisticated Search Engine Spiders even look at the META keyword tag anymore, but it doesn’t hurt to keep it there.

Actually… you can set page-specific keywords with the IMM-Keyword plug-in. The plug-in adds a new field to the WordPress Write Page / Write Post page that says “IMM-Keywords”. Look below the “Save” and “Publish” buttons to locate it.

If you put keywords into that field it will override the default keywords that are entered in the Options section & add those keywords to that page/post only.

The default keywords are used on the main index page, archives pages, and any other page that doesn’t have specific keywords associated with it.

It’s a nice plugin but I think “ultimate tag warrior” has more options than this. Anyway I am trying both on my blog.
